Adaptek™ CRT365 Packaging
Temperature control is just as important when shipping your Controlled Room Temperature (CRT) products as it is for products in your cold chain. CRT, as defined by he United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) general chapter 1079, outlines that pharmaceuticals must be stored in conditions that are required by the manufacturer, as determined through stability testing. USP 1079 CRT is defined as 20°C to 25°C (or 68°F to 75°F).
As development of CRT temperature sensitive medical devices, personalized biologics and pharmaceuticals continue to increase, an effective and easy process ship ping process becomes critical.

Smart Packaging
Each day, millions of packages are shipped around the globe. For markets including life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemicals, and food, the packaging of the product for safe shipment using temperature regulating materials may also include an electronic data logger.
Smart Packaging configurations use QR Codes or electronic data loggers to provide visibility to the conditions of the package during shipping and warehousing.
Active or Passive
Passive electronic data loggers collect key data including time and temperature throughtout the shipment. The data is transferred via a network when the logger is connected to via USB, Bluetooth or WiFi.
Active electronic data loggers provide real-time visibility to the conditions of the shipment as well as coordinates of where the package is at any given time. Some data loggers may include additional sensor technology to track humidity, light, shock and vibration as well.
The sensor, time and data collected during shipments provides visibility to data related to an exact shipment. This serialized information allows stakeholders to analyze trends, manage product integrity and refine operational procedures and can support Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain across organizations.
