Water Soluble Materials

Microtek employs a variety of solvent-based systems using patented as well as proprietary processes to microencapsulate water-soluble, water-sensitive, or water-reactive materials. The wall barrier is useful for controlled release, containment, or protection so that otherwise unusable materials can be utilized effectively. We have delayed the release of active materials for hours in hot aqueous pressurized environments to allow processing steps to occur prior to release. We have demonstrated moisture protection of sensitive materials indefinitely. Such materials as dyes, pigments, water-soluble inorganic and organic salts, phosphors, and aqueous solutions such as dilute sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide have been beneficially modified using microencapsulation.
