Bonding on demand!   That’s what we offer at Microtek.  A microencapsulated adhesive can be released with pressure (impact) or temperature.  The capsule wall acts like a microscopic container, holding the adhesive for long periods of time until the wall is broken down either by an applied pressure or a certain temperature.  Once the capsule wall is ruptured, the adhesive can form the desired bond.

Encapsulated adhesives can be used in applications such as:

• Consumer and industrial tapes

• Packaging & paper goods

LUBRICANTS

Just as we can provide on-demand bonding, Microtek can help create a microencapsulation system to provide on-demand lubrication.  Lubricants can be encapsulated to release and provide lubrication under certain mechanical loads or in high-temperature situations.
