DYES AND PIGMENTS
Microtek manufactures a microencapsulated leucodye for a specialty graphic arts application. One pint and one gallon samples are available for a small fee. More information. IMPACT INDICATING COATINGS
Microtek has experience in researching and developing microencapsulated impact indicating coatings which can be developed to imprint permanent or temporary markings and can be used for applications such as:
- Indicate damage done to products during handling/shipping, etc.
- Assess damage to a product during collision
- Assess degree of pressure applied during a process
- Leave an impression, or mark, at the point of impact in order to determine, for example, whether something is hitting its target and/or to measure the distance of a propelled object.

COLOR INDICATING SYSTEMS
Thermochromic, photochromic, and glow-in-the-dark materials are microencapsulated for producing various imaging and temperature indicating systems. These products have many applications such as recording change of temperatures on food and beverage containers to monitoring process conditions during a manufacturing run.
ELECTROLUMINESCENT PHOSPHORS
It is well-known in the industry that many phosphor pigments are unstable because they are sensitive to moisture. Microencapsulating these phosphors gives them an inert coating which serves as a protective barrier against the environment.
